MAC AND CHEESE

You're going to love this easy southern baked mac and cheese! So creamy and just like your favorite old-fashioned recipe.

Once the butter has melted, whisk in the flour–one tablespoon at a time. You may need to reduce the heat slightly to prevent the flour and butter from burning.

Step 1

To the pot, slowly and while whisking, add in the evaporated milk with the half and half. Gently simmer as the mixture begins to thicken.

Step 2

Add in the onion powder, garlic powder, creole seasoning, and cayenne. Stir to combine.

Step 3

Next, stir in some of the cheese and mix until combined. The mixture should smooth and creamy.

Step 4

Next, add the cooked pasta to the pot. Stir to combine. Transfer the mixture to a lightly greased 3-quart baking dish, and top with the remaining cheese.

Step 5

Bake at 375°F for 20 minutes uncovered or until gold and bubbly. You can also broil the macaroni for a few minutes for extra crispiness.
