How To Remove
Stuck on Food from Your Cast Iron Skillet
First, run a little water into the skillet and add a palm-full of kosher salt. Next, with a scrubbing pad, sponge, or pan scraper, scrub until the debris loosens. Rinse the pan with water.
Dry the pan. With a paper towel, apply a light coat of oil to the interior of the skillet.
Reaseasoning Your Cast Iron
Preheat the oven to 400°F. Clean and dry the cast iron well. Apply a thin coat of high-temperature oil all over the interior of the cast iron.
Place the pan in the preheated oven, then turn the oven to OFF. Allow the pan to sit inside the oven for 1 hour. Remove from the oven. Allow it to fully cool before using.
